MANGATAINOKA SCHOOL
“ Stand tall and reach for your goals "
"Tutika, toro atu ki te kapuhipuhi o te kahikatea.”
Mangatainoka School is a rural school situated between Woodville and Pahiatua in the Tararua District.
We are a full primary school and have three classrooms from Year 0 to Year 8. Our school was established in 1889 and has a proud history in our community. The school is in a quiet, well maintained rural setting and we are lucky to still have our own swimming pool.
Our Vision: (What we want for our young people)
Resourceful and motivated global citizens who are learners for life.
At Mangatainoka School we aim to have students who are resourceful and creative problem solvers. We want them to be inspired and motivated as they approach life and learning. We strive to have students who are connected and thinking globally with environmental awareness. Our students will feel a sense of purpose and feel positively about their future.
Our Values:
At Mangatainoka School we -
Are SAFE - so that everyone can feel comfortable and secure while they live and learn.
Show RESPECT - so that we all feel valued, important and positive about being part of the school community. We show respect for others, the environment and property.
Are LEARNERS - so that we can all be lifelong learners to achieve personal excellence and strive to do our best.
“Whakaute, Marutau, Akonga”
Mangatainoka School is a member of the Tararua Community of Learning. We work with the other schools in our cluster to ensure that all of our students have the best possible learning opportunities and outcomes.
Our school motto is, “ Stand tall and reach for your goals - Tutika, toro atu ki te kapuhipuhi o te kahikatea.”
At Mangatainoka we can offer small class sizes, a warm and caring staff who work hard for their students, a wide range of sporting, cultural and academic opportunities, a friendly and supportive community and that small country school feel.
